Game Idea Research

  I have decided to delve into the obstacle course game, I feel this would make an interesting type of game to develop as my first. It will be challenging as I am having slight difficulties with figuring Unity. out. 

Initially I had thought of creating a car game where you had to collect petrol along the way, I have decided not to go with that idea as it didn't excite me as much as it should . I have thought about doing a new game in which you have a character and they are on a fiver raft slide. I aim of the game would be to make it through the slide without bumping into the objects along the way. The obstacles would be tree branches or logs in the way and cracks in the slide that can damage the raft. Along the way there will be prizes that the character can collect to help them either speed up or repair any damages caused on the raft. The player would have 3 lives and once they lose them the game starts over. 

 The player would use their device to swerve the character through the river raft obstacles.  This  makes  the game more fun and slightly difficult. The game would also have a timing mechanic, this allows the game to be fast paced and make it a challenge for the player to swerve around obstacles and keep up with the speed. 

This does sound like it could be a lot to develop and I will have to see if I'm able to create this. If I manage to pull this off this could possibly be a really fun game to play. I don't want to put too much on my plate as yet as I am struggling with the unity tutorials at the moment.
