Hi my name is Iqrah and I am a second year Creative Digital Media Student in TUD.

The reason I chose CDM was because of its diversity in career opportunities. My goal is to work in the film industry whether it is a filmmaker, or a writer etc. I also didn't want to restrict myself in choices which is why CDM is great because if filmmaking doesn't work out I still have other skills which I can use to pursue other careers.

I am a massive bookworm. I love books, everything about them is amazing. I love being able to travel to other worlds within books and get lost in the moment, My most recent read is " The Invisible Life Of Addie La Rue" By V.E. Schwab . Its set in the 1700s and present time about a girl called Addie who longs for a more adventurous life and despises her mundane little village, she prays to the old gods after sunset which was forbidden and was cursed with eternal life and whoever meets her forgets her as soon as she is out of their sight that is until 2014  New York when a young man recognises her …

The next book I am looking forward to reading is called " The Wrath And  The Dawn " by Renee Ahdeih. It is a book of romance, vengeance and betrayal. So I cant wait to start it.

My biggest accomplishment from my first year of university was persevering through online schooling. It was honestly the hardest part of university, having to only communicate online and never having a proper in person class was very difficult but we managed to get through it and get great results in all my modules.

Stay Tuned for more to come with my amazing blogs.

  1. Hi Iqrah,

Just wanted to stop by and say hello! I have never been one to read a book but can feel your love for them which I'm loving. I can definitely relate to the persevering through online schooling but we did it! Can't wait for more good times in person now!

  2. Hey Iqrah,
I've read one of your work that you've done last year. It was really interesting and enjoyed reading it even though I'm not really into reading.
Last year was hard for everyone too and it's great that we survived. Hope this year is better and easier for everyone.

  3. Hey Iqrah. I’d just like to say that you had very good goals behind the idea of joining CDM. I hope you make it as a big person in the film industry in the near future. I also aren’t a bookworm, so I have never heard of the books you mentioned. Enjoy that next book of yours!
    See you around,
    Krzysztof

  11. Hi Iqrah, I feel we both took this course for the exact same reasons. I was set on filmmaking and directing (and acting as well) until i discovered just how diverse the career opportunities in this course are. I find that book you described really interesting. I'm terrible at reading books unfortunately, the last book I really liked reading was when I was around 16. I also have the same achievements as you in this course, it wasn't nice doing college online but the fact we all passed shows just how brilliant we can be. I loved your introduction, it was so enjoyable reading it.

  13. Hi Iqrah! I wanted to come on and say hi! This blog was quite a read, I also chose CDM for the same reason because of the diverse career opportunities and jobs you can get from this course which is just amazing! I also love filmmaking and I had been doing it for 5 years prior to going to TUD doing CDM. I bet that it was really hard going through a whole year online like I honestly can't believe it so fair play to you because a lot of the stuff in this course involves everyone being together on campus and you did it at home which is a hard task.
